Cyber Insanity

Posted by sydbo47 on April 8, 2015

Did anyone catch the news on Monday night concerning the story on one Rajwinder Singh.

It seems Mr Singh has received death threats and been labelled a terrorist for no reason other than he wears a turban. You have to wonder at some people don’t you. Among the tweets were these gems. “Wtf. Chop off the sick p***ks head!”. “Freak!!! our government needs to stop letting them in argh this pisses me off!!!” “….. shoot him in the legs!” “He must work at a lot of Z stations a guys. Gosh. And js when people say “deport him back to where he’s come from we don’t want s*** like him in NZ. There’s New Zealanders just as bad. But in saying that this guy is discusting!” “….. pigs don’t do s***. Put a bat through his turban and smash his legs to a pulp.”

Now remember the original accusation was false according to Mr Singh and this has never been corrected by police so we may assume it to be true. The point here is a false accusation spread at lightning speed by people who didn’t know the facts and which caused tremendous concern and fear for Mr Singh.

Have we become a nation like ISIS guys? Do we now jump to instant conclusions? I have no problem with the guilty being punished but the crap tweets above were just that, total crap. Wonder if any of them apologised? Doubt it aye?

The police of course said they could do nothing as it was online and of course being the NZ Police they refused to do an interview or comment when One News called them. No surprise there aye the Police do the old ostrich trick hide their heads in the sand. Well done NZ Police. According to One News the police rang Mr Singh to tell him they had looked into it. Hmm You have to wonder if One News caused that rethink don’t you.

MESSAGE TO MR KEY

Prime Minister stop the crap with overseas trips and the RMA and sort out the problems of real people for a change. You have done enough for business. How about remembering the ordinary people, you know, the ones you only want to know every three years. Come on let’s see some real work. Get the act dealing with cyber crime dealt with.
